IN QUEST OF EXCELLENCE we are looking for a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified person in the role of ESTATES AND TRANSPORT OFFICER.


The Estates and Transport Officer shall be responsible for the management of all buildings, furniture and fittings and compound .

He / she shall be responsible for the supervision of transport, grounds and maintenance section staff ensuring that they carry out their duties efficiently and effectively .

Duties / Responsibilities

  • To supervise technicians ensuring that they carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • To supervise drivers and ensure that they carry out their duties efficiently and effectively
  • To supervise Ground and maintenance employees ensuring that they carry out their duties efficiently and effectively
  • To ensure that all equipment and machinery is well maintained and secured. This includes school vehicles, ground equipment, and office equipment.
  • To ensure that all procured equipment and machines are of the right quality, properly deployed and maintained.
  • To ensure that the use of school machines and equipment are within the prescribed procedures and limits.
  • To ensure all school installations are functional and in good order. The use and operation of such installations is proper, well monitored and maintained.
  • To represent estates and transport department in the management meetings
  • To maintain up-to-date records of all school machines and equipment making sure acquisitions, maintenance and disposals are carried out promptly.
  • To carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the business manager from time to time as may be necessary.

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Mature personality, highly motivated and result oriented
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficient in computer applications with specific skills in Ms Excel and Word.
  • Good leadership and managerial skills
  • Minimum experience of two years in a similar assignment.
  • Knowledge and / or skills in plumbing and / or Electrical Engineering are an added advantage.
  • Must have three (3) traceable references.
