CMMB Zambia is a faith based non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with several years of experience in healthcare service delivery to vulnerable communities in Zambia.

CMMB Zambia is committed to contribute to the improvement of health for women and children to reduce morbidity and mortality levels through high quality health programs, provision of medicines and other supplies, and placement of long-term volunteers.

  • CMMB Zambia is applying for funding to implement a project to improve HIV prevention, care and treatment outcomes among faith communities in Zambia and would like to invite applicants for positions listed below;
  • 1. PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR ( PI )

    The Principal Investigator ( PI )will be the project’s senior supervisor and will oversee all aspects of program performance, both technical and managerial.

    The PI will be under the supervision of CMMB Zambia Country Director and will serve as the project’s principal contact point for the donor and other stakeholders.

    The PI will supervise the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of all staff. S / he will have overall responsibility in the areas of operations, administration, logistics, procurement, budgeting, and financial accounting.

    The PI will be responsible for the management, implementation and reporting of the project. The PI will have the primary responsibility for achieving the success of the project.

  • Qualifications and key competencies;
  • Master’s degree or its equivalent in health, public administration, business administration, international relations or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience managing donor-funded and / or other development programs related to health, with demonstrated experience leading a team to achieve development results
  • At least 5 years senior level experience in civil society, governance, organizational capacity building, advocacy or other related sectors
  • Experience managing United States Government (USG) projects and knowledge of USG programming rules and regulations required
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills related to program management, including budget and personnel management, motivating and supervising team efforts, performance management, including program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, and achieving success in complex activities
  • Experience with grants programs highly preferred
  • 2. TECHNICAL LEAD

    Working under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Technical Lead will take lead in providing technical support to all project activity areas.

    The Technical Lead will serve as the project’s technical lead. The incumbent will provide technical leadership and HIV prevention activities.

    He or she will directly supervise the technical staff and technical service providers

    Qualifications and key competencies

  • Postgraduate degree in public health. Clinical experience is an added advantage
  • A minimum of ten years demonstrated experience working in HIV / AIDs prevention, care or treatment programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience on HIV prevention, care treatment and support programs. Extensive experience in all aspects of community-based HIV / AIDS programming (design, development and implementation) Proven ability to work collaboratively and build consensus with diverse sets of stakeholders
  • Excellent facilitation and team management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise and motivate diverse teams.
  • 3. GRANTS FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR

    The Grants Finance and Administration Director will be responsible for all financial, accounting and project start-up, expenditure analysis, budgeting, planning and reporting.

    Qualifications and key competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Full ACCA, CIMA, ZICA
  • Must be a member of ZICA
  • 10 years’ experience in finance with an NGO, with at least five years in a senior finance management position supervising accounting, budgeting, cash and related reporting activities
  • Strong experience in grant formulation, approval and implementation activities with a range of donors
  • Strong supervisory, analytical, problem resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate responsibilities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated record of high ethical standards, insightful financial acumen and good business judgement.
  • Sound people management, leadership, collaboration, communications and team-building skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • 4. MONITORING AND EVALUATION TECHNICAL ADVISOR

    The Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Advisor (M&E TA) will provide technical expertise and leadership to generate and analyze quality evidence and data through monitoring, assessments, and evaluations for improved programming.

    The M&E TA will be a technician with demonstrated experience in building or strengthening monitoring systems, quantitative and qualitative analysis, survey and sample design and effectively promoting evidence-based project management.

    Qualifications and key responsibilities

  • Master’s degree or above in a quantitative field (development economics, statistics, bio-statistics or other relevant subject) with significant knowledge in quantitative methods.
  • Ten (10) years or more relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the M&E of a large award (multi sectoral and multi stakeholder funded project).
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing and operationalizing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in data utilization strategies and ability to think creatively about active data sharing techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-culturally with diverse teams.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, strong presentation and report writing skills.
  • Five (5) years’ experience at a senior level in monitoring and evaluation required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Professional licenses, as required in the field.
